ARE YOU A BRIDGE TEACHER ?

There will be an increasing number of people visiting this site who are interested in learning to play bridge or who want to improve their game. So as not to disappoint them and to encourage their continued enthusiasm it is necessary to ensure that they have a qualified Bridge teacher nearby ( one in every significant town and more in the cities ) that they can turn to for advice on the subject of Bridge tuition.

If you are a qualified Bridge teacher and you would like the opportunity to speak to a continuing flow of potential students, why not add your name and details to the others on this website. Eventually I will be contacting teachers in all areas but to speed things up and to ensure your name is on the list why not contact me now ( contact details below ).

DO YOU RUN A BRIDGE CLUB FOR NOVICES OR ARE YOU AN OFFICIAL OF A BRIDGE CLUB WHICH HAS A NOVICE SECTION OR WHICH HAS, EVEN OCCASIONALLY , A NOVICE SESSION ?

There are many Bridge students who are learning or who have learned to play and are unable to capitalise fully on their new found skills because of a lack of opponents and partners ( or who perhaps play with the same four all the time ). These keen players are ( rightly or wrongly ) nervous about going along to well established clubs which usually have a significant proportion of players who play to a high standard and are ( or are perceived to be ) intimidating.

Three years ago I started a novice club in Guildford with the intention that it should be fun, non-intimidating and without over zealous regard to the rule book so that newcomers to the world of duplicate bridge could improve their skills in a relaxed and enjoyable way. The clubs ( there is now an afternoon and an evening session ) are thriving and I believe the objectives are being fulfilled. If you run or if you are aware of a club suitable for inexperienced players please contact me so that the facility can be publicised on this site ( contact details below ).
