You can now learn to play Bridge at home easily and straightforwardly. There is no need to commit yourself to being at a specific place at a specific time each week. This Beginner's course assumes you have no knowledge of Bridge or even of cards or other card games but a little knowledge will not be detrimental. The course will appeal to those who might find it difficult to commit themselves to a regular formal lesson each week due for instance to other commitments or awkward travel arrangements. We provide the course materials from which to learn, the cards and storage wallets with which to play so that you can set up the examples to give you the practice needed to become a competent player. As an option ( this is not compulsory ) exercises are provided to assist you with comprehension which may be submitted to us for constructive comment The course is very clearly set out but occasionally you may find you would like clarification of certain points or indeed you may have questions about Bridge in general or about particular hands which have cropped up. We welcome questions from students and will be delighted to answer your queries. Soon you will be playing bridge with confidence ( and competence! ) with friends and you will be in constant demand as a popular partner. Once you get hooked ( and you will ) you may like to progress further and advance your skills to that of club level. At that stage you can enjoy the game at a good standard and meet new friends. However, let us not try to run before we can walk. Let us learn the basics first. These will be the firm foundations on which you will build a solid game from which you can progress further if you wish. For a summary of the features of the course please click here.
